Founded in July, 1981 by Dennis E. Barba, Insurance Associates Incorporated (IAI) is a full service independent insurance agency encompassing 13 states including Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. With offices in Newark, Wilmington, and Lewes, Delaware, Insurance Associates focuses on a primary objective of providing an unsurpassed level of personal service to our clients.

We offer comprehensive insurance and risk management services to clients whose businesses and lifestyles do not conform to the “square peg” thought process of most insurance companies or agencies. We have chosen our carrier partners with great care, seeking out those carrier relationships who we feel will fill the needs of our clients with “out of the box” thinking, innovative and creative product offerings, and a desire to establish a relationship with both our agency and our clients.

Additionally, we possess expertise in several niche markets and have relationships with a number of carriers that are desirous of these types of businesses. To illustrate our expertise with niche markets we are members and program providers to the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA), the Delaware Restaurant Association (DRA), and the American Trucking Association (ATA). We are a leading insurer of golf clubs, restaurants, hotels and trucking companies in the Mid-Atlantic region. IAI also has experience providing insurance coverage to Municipalities and Quasi-Governmental organizations.

IAI Golf is a wholly owned division of Insurance Associates. We are experts in helping golf course owners and operators secure comprehensive, reliable insurance coverage through a network of nationally recognized carriers. As a member of the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) we offer a distinct perspective that few, if any, Independent Insurance Agencies possess.
